Which one is you?
Meta ads stalled, or never started?
Pick the one that sounds like you. Both start with the same audit of the account, the creative and the page.
Plateaued
It worked for a year. Then it stopped.
- Cost per lead is climbing and the agency says "the algorithm".
- The same 3 ads have run for months.
- You cannot tell which ad, or which sale, came from Meta.
First step: Audit creative fatigue, account structure, pixel and Conversions API, and the landing page. Then a creative cadence that replaces ads before they die.
Starting
Visual product. Never run Meta. Who makes the ads?
- A venue, a trade, a consumer brand: something people can see.
- Not sure whether Meta or Google comes first.
- No creative team, and stock photos will not cut it.
First step: The maths first: what a customer is worth and whether Meta or Google should carry the launch. Then the studio makes the first creative set before a dollar is spent.
What is Facebook Advertising?
Facebook ads, now called Meta ads, are campaigns run through Meta Ads Manager across Facebook and Instagram feeds, Stories and Reels. Not a boosted post. Each campaign has an objective (leads, sales, visits), a budget, purpose-built creative and conversion tracking, and Meta bids to put it in front of the people most likely to act.
Until recently, results came from precise audience targeting. Meta has largely removed that. Its system now finds the buyer itself, and what it needs from you is a steady flow of varied creative to learn from. So the work has moved to the ad: what stops the thumb in the first second, how many versions run, how fast the losers are replaced, and whether the page and the tracking can prove a sale came from it.

Our Facebook Ads Strategy
Creative, account and tracking managed as one thing, by people who sit in the same room.
Part 01 of 06
Creative production, monthly
New variants from the team that made your brand, 4 to 6 a month: statics, carousels, Reels, UGC-style video. Each set tests an angle, a hook and a format. Winners get more budget and a fresh iteration; losers are retired before fatigue sets in. This is the part most agencies outsource or skip, and it is the part that decides Meta performance now.
What it changes: Meta keeps learning and cost per result stays flat instead of climbing as the same ads fatigue.
Part 02 of 06
Account structure for learning
Campaigns built so Meta can learn: consolidated spend, broad audiences fed with first-party data, testing and scaling separated. Micro-targeting is broader than it was; the structure that replaces it has to give the system enough signal and enough creative to work with.
What it changes: The system finds the buyer faster than a hand-built audience, and spend is not split across underfed ad sets.
Part 03 of 06
Pixel, Conversions API and tracking
Meta Pixel plus Conversions API so the platform sees sales and leads after iOS privacy changes. Custom conversion events, GA4 and CRM handoff so every lead has a source and a cost, and the report matches what your business actually took.
What it changes: Meta sees the sales it was blind to after iOS changes, so optimisation runs on real results.
Part 04 of 06
Landing pages and offers
The ad earns the click; the page earns the lead. Built or rebuilt by the web team to match the creative: same offer, same image, one form. Where most of the return comes from.
What it changes: The person who clicked a blue kitchen sees a blue kitchen and a form. Conversion rate rises; cost per lead falls.
Part 05 of 06
Full funnel: prospecting, retargeting, retention
Cold audiences see the story; warm audiences who visited and did not convert see the offer; customers see the next product. Each stage has its own creative and its own objective, on one plan.
What it changes: Cold audiences see the story, warm ones see the offer, customers see the next product. Each stage gets its own creative.
Part 06 of 06
Reporting against the baseline
Spend, cost per lead or return on ad spend, leads and revenue from your CRM in AllNow, compared with month 1. Which creative sold, not just which got clicks.
What it changes: The next month of creative is briefed on what worked, not on what looked nice.
How much should you spend?
What a month should cost.
Meta clicks are cheaper than Google, but the ad and the page have to build the intent Google gives you for free. So the maths starts the same way, then adds the creative cost, because a Meta account without monthly creative is a slow leak.
Meta needs around 50 conversions a week per ad set to leave the learning phase. Below that it still works, but slower and with more human steering. If the maths does not add up at your margin, we say so and point to Google Ads or SEO instead.
What a customer is worth. Average order or job value, times how often they come back.
What a lead or sale can cost. Customer value times close rate, less the margin you need to keep.
How much creative that spend needs. Roughly one new variant per $1,000 of monthly media, so the system always has something fresh to learn from.

How we are different
What you get at Q that you do not get from other Facebook ad agencies.
Every row is a fact about how the account runs, not a promise about results.
How Facebook ads work at Q
The first quarter on Facebook and Instagram.
Month 1 is the audit, the tracking, the page and the first creative set. Month 2 is launch and first results. Month 3 is where cost per lead settles and the creative cadence takes over.
You see spend, cost per lead, return on ad spend and revenue from your CRM in AllNow, compared with month 1, and which creative sold.

Tracking, page, first creative
Pixel and Conversions API. Landing page matched to the offer. The studio makes the first 4 to 6 variants.

Step 03 · Month 2

Facebook ads agency, Sydney
Facebook marketing agency for Sydney and Australia.
Q Agency is a Facebook advertising agency in Sydney, managing Facebook and Instagram ads for businesses across Australia. We run Facebook marketing campaigns for trades and home services, hospitality venues, consumer brands and online stores: businesses whose product can be shown, and whose buyers scroll before they search.
Facebook advertising changed when Meta removed most audience micro-targeting. What decides performance now is creative volume and variety, clean conversion data, and a page that matches the ad. So our Facebook ads specialists run each account with the studio that makes the creative, 4 to 6 variants a month, Conversions API alongside the pixel, and landing pages built by the web team. Media runs in your own Business Manager, so you see every dollar and the account stays yours.
Sydney Poolscapes took 60 leads at under $35 each from one carousel. Tile and Bath Co grew from $20k to $480k a month in revenue with Meta, Google, the store and SEO run as one plan. The Bootlegger Bar made a 35x return on ad spend over one Valentine's weekend, and Stroud Homes took 52 home-build enquiries before pausing the ads to keep up. We are a Meta Business Partner.
Faqs
Questions we get about Facebook ads.
Straight answers. If yours is not here, ask on the call.
Facebook Ads or Meta Ads: what is the difference?
The same thing. Campaigns are built in Meta Ads Manager and run across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and the Audience Network. Most people still say Facebook ads; we use Meta when we mean all the placements.
Who makes the creative, and how often does it change?
Our in-house studio: the designers and video team who also make brands and websites. New creative every month: 4 to 6 variants, briefed on what sold the month before. Losers are retired before fatigue; winners get budget and a fresh iteration.
Does Meta work for trades or B2B, or only ecommerce?
Trades and venues do well when the product can be shown and the offer is clear; Sydney Poolscapes took 60 leads at under $35 each from one carousel. B2B works for awareness and retargeting, with Google or LinkedIn catching the higher-intent enquiry.
Meta or Google first?
If people already search for what you sell, Google first. If your product photographs well and buyers do not know to search for it, Meta first. Most accounts end up running both; the audit tells you which carries the launch.
How much should I spend on Facebook ads a month?
Enough for Meta to learn, and no more than a sale or lead can pay for. Meta needs around 50 conversions a week per ad set to leave the learning phase. We work the number out from customer value, close rate and click cost in the audit, and add the creative the spend needs.
Did the iOS tracking changes break Meta ads?
They broke browser-only tracking. Accounts that added the Conversions API and first-party data see their sales again and optimise properly. Most inherited accounts still do not have it; it is one of the first things we fix.
Should I boost posts or run campaigns?
Campaigns. Boosting reaches people; a campaign in Ads Manager has an objective, a structure, tested creative and conversion tracking. Boosting is fine for a venue announcement, not for lead generation.
How do you prove a sale came from Meta?
Pixel plus Conversions API, custom conversion events, and CRM handoff so each lead carries its source. Reported in AllNow against month 1, with revenue from your CRM rather than from the platform.
Do I own the account?
Yes. Campaigns run in your Business Manager with your pixel. We are added as a partner and removed if we part ways.
How fast will I see results?
First leads or sales in month 2, once tracking, the page and the first creative set are ready. Cost per result settles in month 3 as the account learns and the creative cadence takes over.
What do your Facebook advertising services include?
Facebook and Instagram ads management end to end: the audit and strategy, campaign setup in Meta Ads Manager, 4 to 6 new ad creatives a month from our studio, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, landing pages, retargeting, and a monthly report against your baseline.
Who will manage my Facebook ads?
A named account manager runs the plan, and the Facebook ads specialist who builds and optimises your campaigns is in every meeting. The designers and video team who make the ads are in the same building, and everyone is in Sydney.
