Do we need to leave WordPress to rank?
No. Mountain Culture grew to 1,500 organic sessions a month on WordPress. Leave only if nobody owns the site and the plugin treadmill is the problem itself; the audit gives you the honest call, and we build the alternatives too.
Which plugins matter for SEO?
One SEO plugin configured properly (Yoast, Rank Math or SEOPress), a caching plugin, an image optimiser and a security plugin. Running 2 SEO plugins at once breaks both. Everything else has to justify its speed cost.
Why is our WordPress site slow?
Theme weight, plugin count and hosting tier, in that order. Most WordPress sites we inherit halve their load time in the first month by fixing all 3.
Can you take over an existing WordPress site?
Yes, it is one of the most common ways clients arrive. We document, stabilise and baseline first, then run the SEO as the team responsible for the site.
How long does WordPress SEO take?
Technical fixes show at 3 months. Content compounds from 6 to 12. We baseline everything in month 1 so you can see the movement.
Is Yoast enough?
Yoast configured properly is fine. Yoast installed and left on defaults, next to a second SEO plugin, is most of what we fix. The plugin does not do the SEO; the setup and the content do.
What about WooCommerce SEO?
Same principles with more duplication to control: variants, filters and pagination. We run SEO on WooCommerce stores and will migrate them to Shopify when the maths says so.
Do you offer WordPress maintenance and support?
Yes. Tested monthly updates, verified backups and uptime monitoring are part of keeping a WordPress site ranking, and available without a rebuild attached.
